I figured maybe if I began writing some of these out, maybe, just maybe I'll stop dreaming them.
Lately I've been having these disgusting dreams that make my tummy turn and kinda make me not want to sleep or dream, because I'm tired of the macabre content.
The latest one started out simple enough. About 8 people were vacationing in this like beach house. Big glass windows. Nothing but college kids really or around their later 20's anyway. So we find there's some deranged killer running around and stuff. Still for some reason we're comfy with it.
One person is picked off, and I wake up to go to the bathroom at night. When I walk in, there's like a sink and shower area separated from the toilet and I think I see someone run outside the windows or the mirror reflecting something running past.
Then it fast forwards to a girl who figures out why the person is killing, or well she does accidentally. She's talking to this guy and he's like she can't kill their baby or something. Rage is pretty much all that was conveyed and the fact that he planned to burn the girl alive. He tossed her in a closet that had gas already on the floor and he had like a torch he planned to simply blow her up. When she saw the fire, said girl turned around and rushed the guy and escaped, but then he pulled two swords from sides to try and kill her. Thinking fast the girl ran in close and hit him in the middle, causing him to fly backward and get hit by a truck. With the guy immobile on the ground, she takes one of his swords, and kneels over him. Says something about lets see the infant who's caused so much trouble or something, then plunges the edge in.
Cutting a straight line from his chest cavity near his throat to his groin. Split his guts open and blood oozed out. A lady comes running screaming that the girl had killed the infant. The woman desperately searches past his intestines, stomach and heart and pulls this little limp white thing with arms. Looked about the size of a doll. Surprisingly despite all the butchered flesh there's not really blood on the doll thing, just white mucus. The man's entrails are left exposed and I woke up.
I had another dream somewhat like it but different and less gory, thankfully don't remember those details. However, I'm like tired of all these types of dreams. Worse yet don't know how to stop them. So I figure writing it out may help.
So we'll see : P

I suggest trying to figure out what they mean for you. Usually recurringdream events that leave a big impression (negative or positive) are there to teach us something and the best way to stop them from coming back is learning the lesson. At least that's my experience.

Yes if you have recurring dreams about death it must have something to do with change..some aspect of change
what i dug up about murder and entrails in dreams seems to point to anger or despair
but have you been watching horror films lately? because this dream reads a lot like a horror or slasher flick

*Nods* Tried to see maybe an underlying message, but all the gore kept getting in the way. made me not want to think about it too closely. Not to mention I wasn't ever really afraid, it was just like a series of events playing out and some adrenalin going, but otherwise it was like calm. If those two things equal anger and despair, well I guess they're not so random dreams after all. Though the way they're delivered could use some work As for movie watching, I did ask myself that very question after the second dream of torture and dismemberment, but all I'd watched during the day was disney movies. Or rather listened to them while my niece and nephew ran around like chickens with their heads cut off. I did read a book, but it didn't have dismemberment in it, it was about love, goddesses and battling for survival, but nothing extremely gory. I'm glad I posted this because otherwise I'd still be trying to figure out why I had them, and never thought too much on looking up dream symbolism.

Cool. Before the disgusting dreams I've been dreaming of nothing but darkness from one moment of sleep to wakeness, but it definitely will come in handy if ever I has another dream like that, that I don't get.
