So have you had any paranormal experiences with ghosts or spirits?

Do you have any theories about them? I have heard that there are two types of hauntings: intelligent where the spirits can interact with you, and residual where they're just repeating some past event.

With residual hauntings do you think it's really them, a time slip, or that it's some sort of memory captured in the stone?

What state or plane do you think they're in?

I suppose it is a plane in between, they aren't quite on the astral plane but they are also are not in the physical.

I've had one experience. I was about 8 and I was very upset because my mum was seriously ill and noone knew what was wrong. I was alone in my room I could just sense that there was something in front of me and it felt as through someone was stroking my arm. It felt comforting and familar. I'm not sure if this fits into ghosts or elsewhere, for example sipirt guides. What would be your thoughts?

I agree with you that they must be in some in between state..they're not physical but haven't really passed on yet...i think they're just on a different frequency from us that we can't see all the time...a lot of the theory is that they require energy to manifest on a frequency we can experience so cause changes in heat and electomagnetic fields

I personally have had no direct experiences of ghosts...i know people who have experiences them but i believe in them 100% anyway...as for your experience it may not have necessarily been a ghost but it def sounds like a paranormal experience..could have been a spirit guide or another entity

I do believe I've had an experience with either ghosts and/or spirits, though never in the strictly physical sense.

Don't really have any theories about them, except the same used for mother earth and dealing with the elements. If you don't know what something is, usually first step is acknowledgement and second to be able to be respectful towards it. Generally if there was some very weird energy in a room and I felt it wasn't a random draft from all the closed windows, or noone walking around in the dark, then generally I make peace with whatever it is. Talking to it as if it were a real person and not a dog or whatever, seems to always calm that energy so it works for positive energy with you, rather than against you. Haven't tried it on an actual high ghost energy level though.

As there are far too many planes layering this world that is a very hard question to answer. I think they are in a metaphysical state as they hit our senses before we actually catch sight of them often. Just an energy you get, and then it evolves from there generally. Plane, sometimes could be thought of as astral, but I think it may be a more different one from that simply because in astral it doesn't feel ghostly. It feels much like this more physical plane we're on, even in dreams. Whereas with ghosts it's much like they just drifted to the wrong plane or something.

Purplemoon: Your experience isn't really ghostlike, but it's definitely more a class of its own. Such as most here know of this phantom thing I got going on. Somewhat a spirit guide and yet at the same time more of a physical being. Always comforting when needed, but never seen. Like light touch, but no physical being there. I'm still trying to decide whether it's a figment of my imagination. Wanting a protector when young and such, or possibly an actual entity, as it's more got a mind of its own. Doesn't come anymore when just need a friendly hug, it pretty much comes when it wants to. Weird, but yeah. Hope that made sense
