Hope is the flame of life to me, but I think it is nothing, if you don't have passion behind it.
Anyone can hope for something, but the reason many believe false hopes can be derived from cause don't think it will happen, is cause they don't have the passion to go after it.
Kinda like that religious story. Man gets stranded in flood on rooftop and helicopter comes to save him and he declines saying he's waiting for god to help him, then boat comes along and he says I'll wait for the lord to save me, and he drowns. Hope is like that, gotta reach out for it, and when something anything comes along be passion filled to get what you want.
As for false hopes I speak of though, unfortunately everyone has a limit to every hope. All hopes are possible, but sometimes one hope you may have takes a while to come true. Not impossible, but so often easy to grasp and you try with all your might and it slips through your grasp and you have to wait again. Eventually the more you reach out and lose it, a bit of that hope for that dream dies off, until you begin to think it's a false hope. Something to tease you with by the fates, only for it to not be real.
And those who've heard it know that encouraging speeches like someday or in the future, it will happen, doesn't work, when you see it happen so easily for others, and yet for reasons unbeknownst to you, it doesn't happen. Go from maybe I'm not ready for it, to it'll never happen, to I give up on it, and if it comes you don't want it anymore and it's no longer a hope of yours, but a false one.
Now not to say you don't have other hopes you still go for, just means that one is let go of and given to go where it will, since it's obviously not meant for you to reach out for it.
Hope that made sense
