Apparently a large meteorite crashed near the Tunguska river in Russia, sending a gigantic shockwave throughout the planet. The strange thing was, when they went to the crash site there was no crater or any debris left. The only thing that showed that something happened was the utter destruction delivered to the trees. They were all ripped to shreds and incinerated.

Interesting huh. :D

Then the entire area would be covered in meteor dust?

That's what I was thinking. This is one of those things that I need to poke holes in the logic of all the explanations and I won't feel I can come up with an answer unless I have all kinds of ridiculous data on things that I'll never get a hold of. Though I do have an answer. But rather than be a nerd and explain, to get the answer of why there's no impact, you must do this:

Play Final Fantasy VII

No it's not, cause it's not the story relevant to the topic! Haven't played it, I'm still unsure if I want to.

It can be relevant to the topic since they have Nethicite! Powerful magic stones from some type of gods.

It's rather mediocre. Only better than FF X-II but can't come near the other ones. The combat system is original though, takes some getting used to but it's more action filled and high paced than the other FFs. Also no more invisible encounters, you see all the enemies and can try to avoid them ... or get ganged up on by them. :P

Storywise it's not so enthralling though. Too much happening too fast.

It is food for thought, though do wonder if it exploded, still be debris.

I think some scientist said it'd have to some uber hot temp for something to completely burn so severely that it leaves no trace behind before it hits earth. I mean even rocket ships descending back to earth on fire, gots debris.

So I'm thinking teleportation devices. *Nods wisely* It's all so logical. Something entered with a teleportation device, fell from the sky, caught fire and just as they were about to hit the ground, completely disappeared to safer spot to land :)

Or it was a phoenix, coming to visit earth and not wanting detection, so fell as a meteor and then now walks amongst us.

*Pokes at Zan* You could put review of game in game review section once you've played it :D
