Are you familar with the crystal skull phenomemon? What do you think about it? Do you think they're just ancient art, modern fakes, or really have some sort of supernatural property?
Note: This is only vaguely related to the new Indiana Jones movie...the movie has recently stirred up renewed interest in the phenomenon and there are some craaazy theories floating around
If you are not familar basically the idea is that the ancient mayans or some advanced ancient civilisation carved these crystal skulls...there are supposed to be 13..or was it 12?..which are real..some not discovered yet....Apparently they think these skulls hold some secret knowledge and/or have supernatural properties
The crazy bit is the idea that bringing them together will prevent the whole 2012 doomsday thing and so it's vital to retrieve them.
There are claims that they're all fakes though.
Thoughts?
