Sounds fancy huh .. a nexus crystal.

It's not all that fancy though, just a simple experiment I'm working on involving crystals and energy work. I figured I'd write a quick manual to make your own here so people can join me in my experiment and share their experiences.

What you need:

- 1 absorptive crystal: Preferably quartz and the bigger, the better but small works too.
- 1 quiet place where you can get in tune with the earth and the stars
- Time

How to make it:

Go to your quiet place with your crystal and find a comfortable spot because this can take a while. Personally I like to use music to help me so you might want to bring some nice meditative or energizing songs. Keep the crystal in reach, get comfortable and close your eyes. Start relaxing all the muscles in your body, one by one .. meditate to reach that peaceful state.

Now before we can start working on the crystal we have to prepare ourselves. To make sure we don't accidentally stuff our nexus crystal with bad things we'll have to cleanse and ground ourselves. The easiest way to do that is by imagining our spines as an energy conduit. Energy is constantly moving up and down our spine (be careful here though, don't get dragged into this part, it can cause huge backlash if you're not used to energy work). Now imagine a thread of energy descending from the bottom of our spine, straight down into the earth. Take your time visualizing it until you're confident that it's present. You're now grounded. Use that connection to the earth to drain all negative energies, feelings and emotions away and let them be replaced with pure energy from the planet. This should practically happen on it's own once you get the connection in place.

Ok, now that you're grounded and clean, it's time to do the same with your crystal. Take the crystal slowly .. don't rush things or you'll snap out of your state of mind. Try to keep your eyes closed if you can and make slow, relaxed movements. If you have the crystal, hold it near to your dantien/hara/swadhistana/sacral chakra, a point about two fingers underneath your belly button. This is the energy storage of your body. If you're lying down, place the crystal on top of it. If you're sitting, just calmly hold it in place with your hands.

This time we repeat the previous step, only instead of grounding ourselves, we'll now have to ground the crystal to the earth. Imagine a string of energy connecting the crystal with the earth. Now since most people can't manipulate energy of other things easily you'll probably have to use your energy to connect yourself to the crystal and then yourself to the earth. Later you can remove yourself from this link and hopefully maintain the other connection. This will probably be much harder and it might require you to get in tune with the crystal. To do that try imagining it's texture, start big and pretend you're a microscope zooming in on the crystal down to a molecular level. Try to be the crystal and feel it's energy vibrating as your own. If you acchieve that, you can manipulate it.

As soon as you get a good connection between the earth and the crystal you're almost there. Now only one thing remains. Unlike with ourselves we don't just want to have the earth purify the crystal and then refill it with energy of it's own. We want to make a nexus, a doorway of energy, so we'll need at least two connections here. For the second connection we'll take the stars, space, whatever you feel out there, ...

Keep your focus on the crystal, make sure it's permanently grounded, then imagine it opening up at the top. A vortex of energy reaches out of the crystal into the vastness of space, into the stars. There are many energy sources out there. This crystal just needs to connect to one decent energy source in that huge selection. If you can tune into one directly, then all the better. You can just create an energetic link like how you connected the crystal to the earth. Personally I used the image of a fluid vortex because I'm not that connected with things out there than I am with the earth here. So the vortex leads a life of its own, sucking in energy where it can find it. Only make sure it leads far enough or you're simply sucking in the energy of the planet to give it back to the planet.

Make sure everything is still connected strongly and then try to slowly separate yourself from the whole, while visualising the rest. This is the hardest part. Do it too fast and everything may crumble, don't do it and you'll risk messing your own energy cyclus up.

If you have both these connections working independently of yourself, you have yourself a nexus crystal. It draws in energy from the stars and sends it down into our planet. I consider it a gift to the earth in exchange for what it has to endure with all of us in terms of pollution and destruction of nature. Lousy gift maybe but it's mine to give.

The crystal can be modified to work for any purpose you want though, you can use it to recharge yourself by connecting yourself to the crystal instead of the earth or you can tell the crystal to tap into another energy source of your liking.

Just be mindful of what you take. Taking too much energy can be bad for the giver but also for the reciever.
