Has anyone ever felt like their memories were being scoured by something with such ill intent that it woke you up and made it so you couldn't go back to sleep? Because I just did like five minutes ago. It felt like I was being scrutinized, like someone was raping my memories for something, and I could feel it while I was dreaming.

I felt naked and violated, like someone just ripped out my feeling of safety and burned it in front of me. I've never in my entire life felt so vile. I feel like I could shower for years and never get the feeling to go away.

And the thing is, I'm so heavily shielded that nothing short of a god/goddess could do that to me and walk away unscathed...or so I thought anyway. Anyone else ever feel like this? And does anyone have any recommendations as to what I should do to make sure it doesn't happen again?

Can't say that I know how that would feel. I've had my energy leeched and my emotions raped but never my memories .. that I noticed.

Shields are, in my opinion relatively easy to circumvent if the target isn't actively shielding. It's just a matter of being taken by suprise or very subtlely penetrating them, without being detected easily. Then there is of course the trick of hitching a ride with familiar visitors like friends, lovers, etc. that you are used to letting past your shields to a degree.

Either way, I'd say the best way to make sure it doesn't happen again is catching whatever is attacking you in the act and encouraging it to stay far, far away from you. Offense is the best defense ... as long as you don't get your butt kicked at least.

i would also invest in another means of protection such as a protection spell for when you sleep or a protective amulet

i've never had any such thing to happen to me before though...haven't heard of it on any one else either so i dunno

Alright...I guess I'll try all that then. Not sure if I can catch it in the act, but will definitely make protection wards and such to put up in the bedroom.

I've personally never had that happen, and I'm sorry you had to experience such a violation.

Only advice I have is kinda like the rest. I'd question how it happened and how to prevent it, then I'd put it into action.

I know the one time I had that astral experience of getting tied to some unknown person and being led lord knows where, when I resurfaced, I felt unsafe and scared. I mean that was first time voluntarily going and I get tied up. Yeah. The only one I knew worked for me at the time was known as a calling of the corners or corner call.

It's a pretty simple calling and I trust it most out of all others I've tried, cause it worked to help me rest well at night and feel more secure the next day, and also they are constant as four corners are really the four elements. They are there day and night and if you have learned to come respect them, usually they reward that with protection whenever you need if asked not nicely, but just with respect and not as if you rule them or their a tool.

But yeah, I do hope that doesn't happen again as that's a very disturbing thing you described.
