Well I'm bored and figured would pose a question. Do you miss any christmas traditions from younger years or would you like to create a christmas tradition? What makes a christmas tradition, well that? This is in spirit of holidays.

*Tilts head* That's an odd compromise. We don't celebrate christmas, but we do give presents. How do they justify the gift giving then? *Smiles* It's nice you like to give gifts though rose, those are nice to give. *Grins at Zan* You sure you're not part wolf? Usually we're the ones who everything is all about the food As for myself, I don't really remember any christmas traditions per se, besides family. I'd like to make a tradition where every morning, is about waking up, drinking cocoa and just enjoying a moment of peace as that's also a symbol of christmas, peace on earth. Then if you have gifts give them personally to each person and it would have to be a very thoughtful gift, something that reminds you of the person you give it to. But that's in my not so distant future when i live alone heh ^_^

*Laughs* Ahh the infamous appetite of the human male species. I understand now. *Nods wisely*
Rosey, Ahh, well giving is a holiday in itself I think. Cause it makes you feel good when you can give something. Whether a hug, a compliment or a present ^_^

I beg to differ. Giving money for holidays can feel great, especially if you're doing it out of goodness of heart and not expecting anything back. Besides, what is giving and receiving gifts, but giving and receiving money in a manner of speaking

For the past 22 years my family and I have had Christmas with friends of ours from Toronto but this year we didn't have Christmas with them because us kids are all grown up. But on the upside my family and I spent part of Christmas Eve with my God Parents for the second year in a row, so maybe we started a new tradition.

Rose, ahh, okay. I get what you mean Arctic, that definitely sounds like a new family tradition in the making. I think a lot of traditions would be a good way to remember holidays aren't about material things, but about the love of family, a loved one or even if your friends are your family. Just taking time out to spend time with them should always be a tradition. Gift giving I think should just be for those who want to give a thoughtful everyday reminder, and something they'll use. Other than just feeling obligated to either pay someone back or get them something only because it's holidays. Should give something if you walk in a store and think hmm, that reminds me of so and so. If people wouldn't get weird and I had money for it I'd give gifts every other month, just to show I cared teehee
