I remember this one! But I'm rather using my own method - for example if you want to imagine third dimension imagine it as second, and than add a new perspective. I managed it to 8th if I remember correctly, but after that I just couldn't hold it in my mind :D

Ahh, I get what you meant now .. I think.

If we fit your idea in with that many-worlds thing we wouldn't only get infinite alternate universes for each change that occured, but also an infinite number of identical universes that lag behind the very first one on the time scale?

That's a mindboggling amount of universes ... and is there even a first one? Or a last one?

Now you get my point! You are the first one, even among my friends!

To your question, I really don't know, but if I'm right the first something would be "fixed" point "of" time, where the matter is so dense (Matter before big bang for example) that everything is fixed in one point, and if yes, how and why did it expanded ?

I remember that 10th dimension video, it was on a post somewhere here..was very interesting

as for the mind boggling universes..well of course...even if you just imagine a parallel universe for every potential action in a situation thats already mind-bogglingly large! it would just kind of exponentiates (if thats not a word it is now :P) from there

i'm not really into physics though so i cant really comment on quantum anything lol..i just take my own personal philosophical understanding of things

I do sometimes wonder about other worlds. I'm not going to comment on Quantum physics either BR that stuff is way over my head.

I think quantum physics is way over most of our heads, mine included ... but it still is interesting to see a branch of science delve into these kind of ideas.

As for the beginning, personally I'm of the opinion that there is no absolute beginning and will never be an absolute ending. Those two things are human concepts created out of a lack of insight and knowledge. We only say "this is the end" when we don't know what's coming next and we say "that was the beginning" because we don't know what came before. Time and time again beginnings and ends are being disproven though and turn out to be mere transitions.

So according to my personal view I'd have to take your schematic and bend it into a huge circle, then make it spiral, loop and all sorts of stuff to add extra dimensions.

So draw it! :P

Anyway I have Quantum physics for dummies, but I can't make heads or tails from it, I'm worse than a dummy :(

yeah i take the circular view as well..humans think of everything too linearly

Isn't it just because the humans tend to perceive just matter?

Friends, and mine theory about why is the time linear here, and "shattered" on upper planes is because of the density of energy (remember 1st picture) so you can say time is linear, but for matter, and more "thiner" energy gets the more flexible time becomes.

But isn't matter far more dense than energy ... or are you defining matter as a storage form of energy here?

So if I go by that you'd say that time is more flexible in the astral realm compared to the physical?

I meant is as extremely dense form of energy. And yes I would say that time is more flexible in astral realm.

Mind you, there is no time.
No past, no future.

Past is only in your head.
Future is only your head.

Time is just concept humans came up to understand things.

And parallel universes..
Well, probably yeah. There are different ones for sure. Pararell ones? I think they are.

And as for your uber theory about creating new and new pararell universes with different desicions.. You never thought that they might and will merge at some point? So they came to exist but on the otherhand they cease to exist.

You know I did not actually think of that and now that you mention it it makes a lot of sense

It'd make travelling across those parallel universes a serious pain in the butt though ...

"Lets go on vacation to this realm for a week, hun."

*travels through nifty portal thing, books a hotel and starts unpacking*

"Damnit! .. we just merged back to our home realm. There goes another $50.000 vacation."
