Just wanted to share this experience, most here have heard the tale, but I figured to open the floor of this area, with experience involving a stone called Moldovite.

This past October of 2007, I went to an otherkin gathering on another forum. Knew a friend and she invited me, I got acquainted with everyone there and was able to go on the trip to meet up with my friend for first time in three years and meet some otherkin.

The first night there, it was basically a get to know the new people, since the Forum, unbeknownst to me was a House. For explanation on what a House is, please refer to Blood Oranges. Anyway, the two main leaders, Gabe and Reija, were questioning another new person besides me on what she thought she was. She said she believed she was vampire and Gabe and Reija both had vampiric tendencies and were like energy with most vampires is supposed to be like a black hole, not bursting with energy as she had mentioned she felt she was bursting with energy. Gabe moved away and spoke in quiet tones to Reija. I was sitting by the fireplace intrigued, but largely just relaxing and taking in the calming energy and observing others. Suddenly Reija smiles and gets a black bag. She sits down and Gabe sits back down, and we're in like an unintentional semi circle, with the girl in question on the floor. Reija pours a few stones from the black bag and searches out a particular stone. Gabe is watching intently and me curiously. Reija hands one stone to the girl and is like tell me what you feel. The girl holds it nervously of course, cause she's got two people staring at her, and me, but maybe she thought I was waiting as well, which I was, just out of curiosity more than judging as I had a feeling they were.

She holds it for a good minute and is like she feels nothing, they tell her to concentrate, and she gets quiet, but she's like she still feels nothing. Then Gabe tells Reija to give it to me. I'm like, eep! I wait a moment to see if maybe they're joking, but Reija hands it off to me. My heart is racing, cause I'm horrible with energy of any kind, and worried over having same reaction as the other girl. At first I don't notice a difference in holding the small stone in the palm of my hand. Reija and Gabe and Girl are all looking at me expectantly and another person came to observe. I begin to tell Reija I don't feel anything, and she's like just concentrate. I'm like all right, and I take a deep breath and go into my hope to meditate state, and then I notice there's a tugging up my arm. Almost like having blood drawn, but not painful, just a sorta sucking of energy. When i frowned, Reija, Gabe and other person broke out in smiles and were like that's the reaction they were looking for. It broke my concentration, but energy was going into the stone for sure.

Reija told me it was a moldovite stone and that it takes your energy into the stone, does something to make it positive and sends it back to you, recharging you. I didn't hold it long enough to get the send back as it started to give me a headache which always happens when i use energy work of any kind, but afterward i could still feel the stone in my hand, even though it wasn't there.

It was an interesting experience involving what Reija referred to as Rune stones, or some other stones.

and why were they testing her in the first place?

She did mention a few others, but too many holidays and stresses I forgot V_V

Well, I think it was simply that they were trying to help her figure out what she was. She said she was unsure, but she was pretty sure she was energy vampire. Since we had two vampires in the room and three or more with vampiric tendencies, guess they wanted to see if maybe they could help her rule out possibilities. They said ones with vampiric tendencies tended to have like holes in their energy, large black spots, that don't emit energy since have an energy deficiency, which is why vampires or ones with tendencies need to feed off of others.

I'm not 100% sure what a stone that's supposed to take your energy and give it back was supposed to do in testing her energy, but they explained in the end, that if she was a psi vamp, she'd not be bursting with energy due to deficiency and were like maybe she wasn't vampire, but had traits like one, but could be something else as Gabe and Reija were.

Question!

This moldovite, is it an actual stone with those natural proportions or is it simply a crystal or stone that someone artificially transformed into having those properties? I know it's possible to put constructs into objects but to have a stone drain you, filter that energy and then give it back is a huge feat. I've never heard of one item performing all those tasks together.

Also I'm not 100% sure about the validity of their test but that's another topic. A psyvamp can be burstling with energy if they just fed. Aside from that there are of course many variations. Besides why make such a complicated test with an inanimate object? All that test seems to tell me is a person's ability to detect energy work.

yeah i agree with zan completely..usually stones have single simple properties unless you configure them in a particular manner with a spell or somethin similar

I think it was more to see if she also wasn't a lifestyler as well. Main concern they had was the announcement that she believed she was vampire, cause she had a dream that there was a male vampire in it, when she was young and that she liked to dress up as a vampire princess each halloween and that everyone around her said she was like a vampire. One valid thing, which they considered may be her having the tendencies rather than being one was that, when she gets around others, they get tired, and some specific instances, but overall, testing was just really fun thing to do as well. They have history of just liking to see reactions, like mine and another tigers.

I'm not sure what purpose was given, but I have to say, glad I am that I can detect energy, or at least have it confirmed. Always sorta doubted, cause well heck a lot of other people make energy work seem so easy :S

Energy work is easy, it's natural to everyone but some people expect miracles and think they can do anything with energy work.

I have to admit though, like with all things, if you learn it on your own you'll have a tougher time than when you have people to study with or to guide you through things.

Snaps: I wonder if the essence of Moldavite in that incense they're selling on that website actually has any in it. Seems rather a waste to burn such a rare thing.

Very interesting story Nightwolf. My mother gave me some stones to help with certain things but I always keep them in my desk for fear of losing them ^_^;.

That's what I was thinking too .. it's probably just smart merchandizing. I doubt they'd use rare gems in incense.

Finding guides, and making time to learn energy work is a challenge all it's own. People have given me plenty of ideas on what they do for energy work, but it seems I can never send it. To energize myself or some such, sure, it works, but to do stuff like grounding or outward work, just don't work properly as it should.

I'd hope they'd not burn something that is bound to be mined out in ten years, be a waste. besides, didn't know stones had a smell, so must be something added or stuff.

Snaps: I'd better anything had it's own scent if it was ground up and burned.
