This was an interesting thing that happened last night, figured I'd share.

So for past few nights, I've been feeling this really odd calm about me. Usually I'd have no issue with calm as it indicates balance, but this was a strange calm. I felt listless almost, lazy, as if I wanted to lie out in a field of grass and watch the world fly by. I didn't feel like moving forward or backward, I just felt like a small tide rushing in and soothingly out.

I told my soul sis about it, and she was like, she herself felt watchful, almost protective of those under her wings. She said she was wary of something, but it was near untraceable. I had told her earlier, that my therians had gone into an all shield, which was shutting out all energy flow from anyone person, because I couldn't trace what was making me feel really calm and lethargic. I told her I felt almost as if someone had sedated me and lain me in the grass to rest. Not to mention I was sleeping a bit much more than usual, but not depressed. Just tranquil.

Later on that night, she went on a store run with one of our mutual friends. She said as they were out walking, she asked how his night was going and he said, he had been feeling tired all day, almost as if someone had used a sedative on him. She came home and told me about what he said and I was like, wait didn't I say the same thing to you like two hours ago? And she's like yep. We all felt whatever it was, wasn't trying to harm us, which was why we all went on standby rather than attack, but we're like, we don't know if it's just a coincidence, or if someone is messing with us all and just carefully covering their tracks to make sure they aren't detected.

Either way, she and I asked other kin how they've been feeling and some reported one or the other. Watchful or tranquil, without a trace of why. We thought that was weird and wondering if it's coincidence or not.

Not to mention we all weren't therians, so in the end it was a bit of a mystery. Then later on that night, the effects wore off on me, and I felt my normal mischievous old self again

Whatever it may be .. no sign of anything similar in Europe unless I've just been too preoccupied with other things to notice.

It also could be the season and the holidays ... or it could be something else influencing you all. The only thing I can think of that makes one lustless and docile would be a vampiric attack but for it to happen simultaneously is weird.

Well for a while I thought it was just me, which is why I thought it was odd, that our friend would use the same exact wording as me, specifically the word sedative, when I hadn't spoken to him in a while and that night had just mentioned to my soul sis about it.

Then he was like for him, it felt like some draining of energy involved, but not enough to really be harmful.

I found it most interesting, that it was like a few days before as my soul sis was talking bout him, I suddenly felt really annoyed and defensive, only to a few days later have him targeted.

So it's an unsolved mystery. Heh. Maybe it's like a west coast thing. Sensing the storm, and subsequent cabin fever. Only been around my neighborhood for the past three days V_V

Do you all have mutual emotional ties? Like you all care very deeply for the same person?

Well, Doni's my soul sis and the guy is a person she considers her mate, and he's like my brother. So I guess in a way we do have close emotional ties.

Hmmm. Well distance doesn't always work the same way spiritually. You are closer to those you have a stronger bond with, despite actual distance. One theory I can come up with is you were just visited by some anonymous benelovant spirit. Almost drugging you or one of your loved ones, moreso out of a lack of desire to be disturbed as it passed through. The fact you all are close, might have something to do with how it was almost contagious to others. As to your soul sis, possibly a hiccup that she might not be able to affected by it, but could feel and it put her on edge. I really wouldn't worry too much if I am right. But I do not know. This is just a theory.

*Nods* It's close in theory to what I had in mind. That it wasn't something that wanted to do harm, whatever it was. And she's an angelic, so generally she has a shield up and stuff so would be why and also earlier had had someone put her under metaphysical sedative who was a friend, so warned against it.

But yeah, not so much a worry just was an interesting coincidence sorta deal. Didn't know if anyone else had felt it.

Sure there is, it's that thing where people don't recognize the patterns behind an event.

Now why would any friend put someone under a sedative? Unless it's with their permission and even then, energy work isn't without it's risks.

Any instance where you manipulate others intentionally is frowned upon in many circles. Socially, emotinally, or spiritually. I may be a wild child in many cases, but even I don't mess with other's like that.

I like your definition of coincidence. It made me chuckle.

I'm not really sure on the deal with the whole sedating thing, but she didn't seem overly bothered by it being from him and she figures at least she didn't feel that weird put down, tranquil feeling.

That's how ended up coming up with the word, was just felt extremely tranquil like in a trance or just wanted to lay down and stare at the sky. Heh.

We don't really worry about it though. And I had to throw out coincidence, though some things are just too odd to just be coincidence.
